Choose One for Two

Valentine’s Day is at hand, and that makes this the perfect time to finally release these special rules for playing Choose One with two players, a variant I like to call Choose Two.

As you may know, Choose One is a party game we published back in 2013. To play by the original rules, you need at least 3 players, ideally more, going all the way up to 10.

Making the game work for just 2 requires not only specialized rules, but new cards, a new board, and even a new way of thinking about the game. The Choose Two rules make it a game for couples, prospective couples, BFFs, or just any two people who want to get to know each other better.

Like the name suggests, in this version you will be choosing two things: not only will you be trying to guess the other player’s answer, but you’ll also be answering the question yourself, and comparing your responses with the other player. And when the game is over, you’ll find out not only if you win, but how much you have in common.

To play Choose Two, you will need:
* The Topic Cards from a copy of Choose One
* 8 new Answer cards (4 for each player)
* New Gameboard
* New Rulesheet

All of these elements are included in the print-n-play Choose Two PDF.

Making the cards, of course, is the tricky part. Here are 4 good options to consider:
1) Make a double-sided printout on cardstock and cut them out
2) Print onto whole-sheet sticker paper, cut to fit, and stick onto old cards
3) Print on regular paper and cut apart, then insert the paired slips into clear plastic card sleeves
4) Order a set of these 8 cards from the Game Crafter

Enjoy!
