Cthulhu Fluxx is based on the writings of H.P. Lovecraft. Born in 1890, Howard Phillips Lovecraft was one of the most influential horror writers of the 20th Century. His protagonists are typically normal people who stumble upon terrifying things… a professor who uncovers a terrible ancient secret, or an artist inspired by living monsters.

In Cthulhu Fluxx, Keepers represent the characters and places in Lovecraft’s world. Every week between now and the release date, we’re going to reveal two Keepers. These are tied to a Goal based on one of Lovecraft’s stories. If you think you know your shoggoths from your shantaks, see if you can guess the Goal! And if you don’t know the story, guess anyway! Right or wrong, you’ll get to see the Goal, learn something about the story it’s based on, and read designer notes from Keith Baker and learn a little more about the game itself.
